Thuburbo Majus

Thuburbo Majus is a large Roman site in northern Tunisia. It is located roughly 60 km southwest of Carthage and just a few kilometres outside of Fahs. Thuberbo Majus is an ancient Punic town which became Roman when Hadrian granted it the status of municipality.

The town experienced an important urban development, as can be seen in its impressive vestiges and its wonderful collections of mosaics.
